Why do brands test their products on animals?
Animal testing is an archaic practice that dates back to the 1920s and became the norm in the following decades. Today, it’s what scientists are familiar and comfortable with and it’s not easy and even costly for companies to switch to more updated methods of product testing.
Brands also use animals in tests to ensure the safety of the products. The tests help brands avoid legal complications that may arise when a consumer makes a legal claim.
